The memorial service for Elizabeth Joyce Blumers will be at 1:00pm Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home, Rochester, Minn., with the Rev. Harry Jewison officiating.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Chatfield, Minn., at a later date.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blumers, 80, of Rochester, Minn., died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Elizabeth was born February 4, 1931 in Chatfield, Minn., to James and Irene Lynch.  In June of 1953, Elizabeth married Clarence Blumers.  Clarence passed away in 1971.

Mrs. Blumers retired from St. Marys Hospital.

Survivors include her children; Renee Blumers of Rochester, Chuck (Carol) Blumers of Pine Island, Bob (Lisa) Blumers of Mantorville, Mary (Eric) Johnston of Rochester; brother, Robert  (Leone Blair) Lynch of Anoka; sister, Donna Danielson of Rochester; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter and brother.

Elizabeth enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading and spending time with family.
