Elaine Catherine Stettler, 87, of Rochester, Minnesota, died Monday, March 18, 2024.

Elaine Catherine Stettler was born on September 23, 1936 to Edward and Hazel (Mahon) Stettler.

Elaine grew up in Rochester and graduated from Lourdes High School. After graduation, she went to work at Osco Drug until beginning a 40-year career at the Mayo Clinic, the last 20 years as supervisor of the St. Marys Medical Records office.

Elaine was a devoted member of St. Francis Catholic Church. After retirement, she enjoyed being one of the "Frogs" ~ "Fruppy Retired Old Girls Society." She traveled to Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Washington State but annual trips to Northern Minnesota with family were the best. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family; always had cookies in the freezer for them to enjoy.

She did gardening, knitting, reading and jig-saw puzzles. Elaine was the photographer of the family. Who's going to do it now?

Elaine is survived by a sister Alice Bronner (Marv); brother Mike Stettler (Donna); sisters-in-law Yvonne (Bonnie) Stettler and Mary Stettler; her beloved nieces and nephews: Steve, Scott and Todd Stettler, Lisa Evjen, Michelle Grunewald, Patti Burke, DeAnn Kelzer, Brian and Kevin Bronner, Bridget Schwartz, Keith, Mark, and TJ Stettler; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gerald and David, and niece-in-law Kristina Stettler.

The family of Elaine Stettler are grateful to Mayo Hospice, nurse Kelli, and the Homestead Rehab Facility.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM, Friday, March 22, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, March 21, 2024 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
