The Funeral Mass for Earl Wampach will be 11:00AM, Friday, February 3, 2017 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester with Rev. Peter Schuster officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood East Cemetery in Rochester. Visitation will be held at 10:00AM at the church.
Mr. Wampach, 82, of Rochester died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Golden Living Center East in Rochester.
Earl was born October 1, 1934 in Elba, Winona County, MN to Paul and Pearl (Stephan) Wampach. On August 16, 1958, he married Marlys Applen at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley. The couple moved to Rochester in 1966. Earl was a tool and model maker for IBM for 28 years. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and a United States Army Veteran in the 84th Engineer Station in Ft. Ord, California. Earl loved fishing in Northern Minnesota and Canada, and playing cards.
His survived by his wife Marlys, three daughters, Lisa (Russ) Kelm of Rochester, Wendy Wampach (Rick Schroeder) of Burnsville, and Kristin Wampach of Rochester; two sons, Daniel (Jessica) Wampach of Stewartville, Aaron (Mari Richards) Wampach of Oakdale, MN; seven grandchildren, Laura, Josh, Nate, David, Mali, Maya, and Wren; and one great-grandson, Wyatt. Earl is also survived by his siblings, Bernard (Margaret) Wampach of Rochester, and Darlene (Art) Noeske of Winona. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Andrea Alexander; sister, Kathy Kreiger, and brother-in-law, Dale Kreiger.
Memorials are preferred to Lewy Body Dementia Association.
