Doris Marie Veer passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the age of 81 at Season's Hospice House.

Doris was born August 30, 1934 in Tracy, Minnesota to Carl and Rena Johnson.  She graduated from Tracy High School in 1952. She attended Bethany College in Mankato, Minnesota.

Doris married Carroll Veer on March 4, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Tracy.  They made their home in Rochester, Minnesota.

Doris was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Marys Hospital, then as a nurse at Season's Hospice.

Her favorite hobbies were reading, traveling, bird watching and gardening.  She especially enjoyed raising morning glories.  Doris will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who enjoyed raising her family.

Doris is survived by her husband, Carroll; daughters Linda and Sharon; son Jerry; sister Eunice and grandson Roger.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minnesota at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 28, 2016 with Pastor Brian Kom officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27 at the church  from 5:00pm-7:00pm and one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
