The Memorial Service for Doris E. Hanson will be at 11:00 am Thursday, November 29, 2012 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Anderson.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Doris E. Hanson, 88, of Rochester, MN, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Moore Elderly Care Home where she had resided for two weeks.

Doris was born November 22, 1924 in rural Racine, MN. In June 1943 she married Lavern Christopherson. The couple had four children. She later remarried John "Jack" Hanson in 1972.

Doris worked as a home nurse and manicurist for many years in the Rochester area. She loved gardening and taking care of her roses. She also loved her poodles, Arpache and Peaches.

Survivors include her daughter, LuAnn Christopherson, of Rochester, two sons, Robert (Carol) Christopherson and Randy (Sue) Christopherson, both of Hayfield, MN, sister, Alice Rortvedt, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by spouses, a daughter, four brothers, four sisters, a grandson and a great granddaughter.

Macken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
