Dorette (Dotty) Leimer

Dotty, 72 of Rochester, MN died Monday Feb 17, 2025, at Mayo Clinic, St. Mary's Campus.  She was born May 04,1952 in Fairmont, MN and attended Truman High School where she met the love of her life, Doug Leimer.

They were married on October 3, 1970. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree with Summa Cum Laude honors while attending Winona State University and went on to teach for 36 years for the Rochester School district. Her passion was teaching first grade and loved to see the enthusiasm as they progressed through the years.

Dotty is survived by her husband Douglas, sons Grant (Amy), Seth (Shannon), grandchildren, Lexus, Carter, Logan and Brynn, sisters Shari, Mary, Lori, brothers David, Steven, and Robert, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Arlean Sorensen and infant brother Carl.

No public memorial or celebration of life will be held per her wishes. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, students and parents.
