Denise Rae Tollefson, 65 of Chatfield, MN passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Denise Rae Fieck was born on August 17, 1960 in Rochester to Howard and Nancy (Daniels) Fieck. Denise graduated from Mayo High School in 1979. She then attended Cosmetology School and became licensed. She worked at various salons in Rochester before working for Mayo Clinic for many years. In 1992, she married Tom Tollefson on the family farm in Chatfield. Denise was loving mother who enjoyed traveling, especially taking road-trips to Treasure Island, Bingo, and Las Vegas alongside her husband. Other trips would include traveling to visit her sister Diane in Idaho and trips to Florida. She was proud to be a longtime friend of Bill W.

She is survived by her husband Tom of Chatfield, her children Jessica (Dan) Crowson of Chatfield, Devin Tollefson of Chatfield, step-children Ben (Meghan) Tollefson of Rushford, Travis (Amanda) Tollefson of Galesville, WI, her sister Diane Ellison of Seattle, WA, her brother Daniel (Cathy) Fieck of Rochester, Daryl (Patty) Fieck of Rochester, Darin (Tanya) Fieck of Rochester, 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and her many fur-babies.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

The Memorial Gathering for Denise will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
