The funeral Mass for Delores M. Maier will be 10:30AM Monday, August 23, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester with the Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Maier, age 78, formerly of Rochester, died at her home in Eyota of natural causes Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

She was born Delores Marie Siebenaler September 24, 1931 near St. Charles to Leonard and Veneta (Michael) Siebenaler. She grew up in the area and attended St. Charles High School. She married Robert A. Maier June 11, 1952 at Lewiston. He died February 8, 2001. Mrs. Maier was a homemaker. She was  also an avid NASCAR fan, known for her homemade rolls and loved to garden.

She is survived by two daughters and a son: Linda (Douglas) Chouinard of Rush City, Minn., Cheryl (John) Johnson of Rochester and Steven (Mary Kristo) Maier, of Rochester. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In addition, a brother and a sister survive: Curt (Judy) Siebenaler of St. Charles and Diane (Gary) Ruehling of Grants Pass, Oregon.
