Debra Kay Jensen

Debra Kay Jensen, age 70, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. She was born on October 8, 1955.

Debra was united in marriage to Michael Eugene Jensen on August 27, 1977. Together they built a loving family and shared many cherished memories until Michael's passing in 1991.

Debra was a proud and devoted mother to Christopher (Jackie) Jensen, Stacy Jensen, and Brandon (Katie Ohm) Jensen. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her children and grandchildren: Jade, Ethan, Owen, Kaci, and Brooke. She treasured every moment spent with them and never missed an opportunity to share her love, encouragement, and support.

Throughout her life, Debra dedicated herself to caring for others through her work at her Richards Roost In-Home Daycare, Mayo Clinic, John Marshall High School Food Service, and Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home. Her kindness, compassion, and strong work ethic touched the lives of many.

Debra had a creative spirit and found joy in crafting and decorating her yard, always making her home warm and welcoming. She loved thrifting, searching for hidden treasures, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. An animal lover at heart, she especially enjoyed riding horses and spending time with her beloved cats. She also enjoyed trying her luck with an occasional trip to the casino, which often came with plenty of stories and laughter.

Debra will be remembered for her generous heart, her sense of humor, her creativity, and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the memories that will be treasured forever.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael Eugene Jensen. Following his passing, Debra remained a devoted widow, cherishing the life they built together and carrying his memory with her always. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Donald Gilbertson, and her in-laws, Donna and Darrel Jensen.

She is survived by her children, Christopher (Jackie) Jensen, Stacy Jensen, and Brandon (Katie Ohm) Jensen; her grandchildren, Jade, Ethan, Owen, Kaci, and Brooke; her siblings, Dan (Jane) Gilbertson and Cathy DeMartini; her nieces and nephews, Caitlyn, Nico, Doug, Tom, Alec, Adam, Adelia, Kyla, and Kevin; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
