Dawn Marie Evans, age 51 of Rochester, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2012 at her residence, due to complications from a brain aneurism.

Dawn was born on July 4, 1961 in Austin, MN to Nancy (Clark) and Richard Evans. She graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1979, and went on to the University of South Dakota. She ultimately graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. She later obtained an MBA. She worked for various departments within Boeing and was the Director of Program Management in the Integrated Defense Systems Department at the time of her death. First and foremost, her daughter Malia was the love of her life and meant the world to her. Dawn was known as a hard working, career driven woman who was everyone's friend. Dawn is survived by her daughter Malia of Wildwood, MO, her mother Nancy (Clark) Evans of Rochester, a sister Renee (Ray) Noreen and their son Tyler of Sioux City, IA. She is preceded in death by her father Richard and her grandparents.

A memorial service for Dawn is planned for 10:30AM on Saturday, September 15, at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
