David L. Dvorak – Rochester

David Louis Dvorak, 74, of Rochester, MN, died Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus.

David was born June 24, 1952 in Austin, MN to Kenneth and Betty (Virnig) Dvorak. He graduated from Pacelli High School in 1970. On March 10, 1978 he married Catherine E. Arnold in Tucson, AZ. The couple lived in Tucson, AZ and St. Croix Falls, WI until 1987 when they moved to Rochester. David worked at Mayo Clinic and retired in 2017.

David loved reading, playing guitar, Bob Dylan, playing games, and candy, and was a lifelong Twins fan.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine, and son, Peter, of Rochester; his daughter Anne (Peter) Hastie and granddaughter, Heather, of Berkeley, CA; his sister, Denise (Denny) Bahl, of Austin, MN; and his brother, Ron (Amy) Dvorak, of Excelsior, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lori, and his brother, Dan.

At David’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
