The memorial service for David Allan Biester will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, April 23, 2012 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, with the Pastor Stanley Wilkinson officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in Dale Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, Zumbro Falls, MN.
David Biester, 47, of Rochester, died Sunday, April 15, 2012.
David was born on August 23, 1964, at Murfreesboro Air Force Base in Tennessee to Kathleen (Powell) and Lt. Col. John E. Biester Jr. He grew up in Latrobe, PA where he graduated from high school in 1982.
David served in the US Army Reserves as an electrician for 6 years. He worked as a Master Carpenter after his discharge from the Army Reserves. He attended college before and after serving in the Reserves.
He is survived by his Fiancé, Brenda Lynne Darcy of Rochester, and her 5 children whom he helped raised; Shannon Callstrom, Heidi Darcy, Nathan Darcy, Ashley Darcy, Aaron Darcy and also four grandchildren; a brother, John E. Biester III of Little Rock, AR and a sister, Elizabeth E. Biester of Greensboro NC. He was preceded in death by his parents.
David enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, canoeing and woodworking. He was a kind and loving man. His passion was music and carpentry. Throughout David's entire life, he had an artistic way about him. He had an excellent eye for design. He was an exceptional musician and artist. It showed in all the work he did. David was a perfectionist when it came to his work.
David was responsible for taking a small youth group program in Pittsburgh, PA called "The Happening" to Kenya Africa. He was the music director and was an influential part in bringing several people to the Lord. That program is now worldwide.
David's love for the Lord and his compassion for others was unsurpassed. He will be remembered with warm hearts by everyone that met him.
