Daniel Richard Frey, 65, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 19, 2022.

He was born to Hazel and Jarvis Frey in Ipswich, England. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1975. On May 28, 1977, he married Deborah Ann Guimond in Rochester, MN. The couple raised three children, Heather, Alan, and Michelle. He had nine grandchildren. Daniel is survived by two brothers, John (Debbie) and Jody; and two sisters, Lisa (Terry) and Laurie (Doug). He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Daniel worked as a land surveyor until he started having medical issues. He loved fishing, hunting, and baseball. He also loved music with favorites being Bachman Turner Over-drive and the Beatles.

Daniel enjoyed annual cabin trips with his family to Deer River, MN. He had a knack for old classic cars and woodworking when he was younger.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Chaplain Anthony Deach officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery in Douglas, MN.
