Dale M.
Stahl
October 26, 1957 – November 13, 2021
Dale M. Stahl – Rochester
Dale Michael Stahl, 64, of Rochester, MN died Saturday November 13, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. After a brief illness with pancreatic cancer, Dale went to his heavenly home, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In Dale's words: "I am a sinner and accepted Jesus Christ as my savior at the age of 14. Somehow God saw me not for what I'd done, but for who I could be. My grandfather gave me a bookmark. On it was a verse from Proverbs 22:1 – 'A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches.' As I grew up I've tried to keep that verse in mind. I pray that all family and friends will join me here in heaven one day. We will have a terrific reunion celebration! John 14:6 says – 'Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"'. Romans 10:9-10 – 'If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.'"
Dale was born October 26, 1957 in Grosse Pointe, MI to Siegfried and Nancy Stahl. He was born alongside his identical twin brother David and also has a blood twin brother (stem cell donor) Dan. Dale graduated from Clintondale High School and Oakland University. In 1980, he married Rhonda DiLaura and has three wonderful children, Gabe, Charlotte, and Nick. In 1995, Dale and Rhonda divorced. In 1996, Jean Gosse and Dale met on a blind date and were soon married. Jean has two wonderful children, Chris and Alex, from a prior marriage. Together Dale and Jean have a wonderful daughter, Aubrey. From 1980 – 2014 Dale worked as a computer programmer at IBM in Rochester, MN. From 2016 – 2018 he worked as a computer programmer at Mayo Clinic. Dale possessed an affable demeanor and a sharp wit always at the ready; Dale was known for his ability to punctuate the day-to-day with his own brand of "Stahl humor". Endearing himself to many, this gift proudly lives on through his children and grandchildren today.
Dale is survived by his wife, Jean Stahl of Rochester, MN; sons, Gabe (Kala) Stahl of Vass, NC and Nick Stahl (Kamie Hoover) of Minneapolis, MN; daughters Charlotte (Matt) Hill of Lakeville, MN and Aubrey Stahl (Sam Barsness) of Rochester, MN; step-sons Chris (Sara) Newman of Cavour, SD and Alex (Ri) Newman of Rochester, MN; and 11 grandchildren – Avah, Cece, Nyla, Addi, Isaac, Ella, Cora, Anna, Beau, Theo, and Risa.
