Obituary

Dale Curtis Michaelson, 83, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away September 9, 2016 at Ostrander Care Center due to complications of COPD.

Dale was born February, 13, 1933 in Thompson, Iowa. He attended grad school in Iowa and graduated from Blooming Prairie Minnesota High School in 1951. Dale served in the Naval Reserve aboard the USS Whitehurst from 1955-1957. At time it was also the filming of "The Enemy Below." He then worked Kruse Lumber from 1958 till his retirement in 2005, 47 years.

Dale married Carol Kobi in Dodge Center. They resided in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dale is survived by his wife, daughter; Judy (Jason) Southwick of Stewartville, Minnesota, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, cousins; Ruth Wright of Kasson, MN, Allen(Judy) Wright of Dodge Center, MN and Karlene Brown of California.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Dale was a quiet, gentle man and will be greatly missed.

The Funeral Service for Dale will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11:00am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rochester with Pastor John Allen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens following the service.

Memorials are suggested to St. Croix Hospice and/or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
