Obituary

Cindy Rose Wiese, 63, of Byron, MN, died Friday, June 12, 2020 at home.

Cindy was born on August 16, 1956 in Owatonna, MN to Francis and Marcella (Schrom) Jeno.  She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1974 and eventually earned her Laboratory Science/Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University in 2011.  On June 21, 1975, she married her high school sweetheart Steven E. Wiese at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Litomysl, MN.  The couple lived in Owatonna, MN until 2007 when they moved to Byron, MN.  Cindy worked at the Owatonna Clinic for 30 years as a medical laboratory technician and Saint Mary's Hospital, Mayo Clinic Rochester for 13 years as a quality specialist for laboratory services.

Cindy was an avid runner completing 3 marathons and 6 half-marathons.  She enjoyed photography, painting, gardening, and antique collecting especially candlesticks, carnival glass, and artwork.  Her travels brought a love for Italy and it's food, Hawaii and it's beautiful beaches, and several other places.  She treasured the shared memories with families and sought the beauty in each sunrise and sunset.  She traversed roads with Steve across all 50 states experiencing the happiness of life.  Cindy shared the joy of the little details in decorating for Holidays, treasured the words on a page of a good book, and mastered some amazing recipes with her own twists.  Cindy's dogs were constant companions and many walks with her and Steve.  Cindy loved her family, finding exactly the right words to dry tears, pushing her daughters to be strong, cherishing her grandchildren as her pride and joy, and giving simply amazing, warm comforting hugs.  Cindy lived brightly and boldly, and her spirit continues to shine in all those blessed to call her friend.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Steve, married for 45 years; her daughters Abby (Carson) Romme and Allison (Kent) Anderson; her grandchildren, Sylvia Romme, Flynn Romme, and Georgia Anderson; her mother, Marcella Jeno; and three sisters and six brothers along with many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her father, Francis John Jeno, and her brother, Mark Jeno.

Due to the Coronavirus, there is no planned funeral.  A Celebration of Life will follow at safer, later date.
