Cindi Ann (Gruhlke) Poleos, formerly of Rochester, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, after a nine-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Cindi was born on Oct. 9, 1953, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Frederick A. and JoAnn Gruhlke.

Cindi is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Poleos; step-daughter Corey Noblitt of Atlanta; two grandsons; brothers David Gruhlke of Owatonna, Edward (Debra) Gruhlke of Belleville, Ill., and Robert (Stacy) Gruhlke of Eagan, Minn.; sister Carol Brooks of Austin; sisters-in-law Beth Holmgren of Rochester, and Judith (Roy) Bruce of Danville, Mo.; godmother and aunt Margie Gammelgaard; goddaughters Tanya Wallace (Gruhlke) of Elgin, and Cassandra Gruhlke of Eyota; 17 nieces and nephews; 28 great-nieces and nephews, along with numerous cousins.

Cindi was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick A. and JoAnn Gruhlke, sister Mary Jo Larrison-Gruhlke, brother Frederick R. Gruhlke, and grandparents.

Cindi took joy in spending time with her friends and was the matriarch of her family. She enjoyed car shows with her husband, and wine walks with all. She would lighten up everything and everyone with her loving and gentle soul, while teaching all about love, respect and kindness. Cindi and Paul owned and operated Lloyds Appliances in Bellville, Ill., for 13 years. Even through the most difficult times, her faith in God remained.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 , in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester. Memorial Mass will be at 3:00 p.m. at Resurrection Church in Rochester. The celebration will continue at the Eagles Club following Mass.

Memorials are preferred to the family.
