The funeral Mass for Carolyn F. Breckle, will be Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Mark McNea officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Carolyn Breckle, 77, a lifelong resident of Rochester, died August 30, 2014 at Arbor Terrace.

Carol F. Griffin was born March 20, 1937 in Simpson, MN to William and Mary Griffin. She was a graduate of Lourdes High School. On May 15, 1965, she married Robert J. Breckle at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester.

She retired after working 33 years in phlebotomy at Mayo Clinic.

Carol loved gardening, spending time with her family, attending a good sporting event and always had a wonderful bright smile that could light up a room.

Survivors include her children William Breckle of St. Louis Park, Nora (Charles) Watts of Hopkins and Tracie (James) Daly of Rochester; 7 grandchildren: Casie, Alex, Meagan, and Benjamin Watts and Caroline, Jackson, and Collin Daly. Siblings include Walter Griffin of Simpson, Delmar (Jo) Griffin of Richfield, Jim (Patty) Griffin of Rochester, Marilyn (Lowell) Day of Rochester, Sharon Wilson of St. Louis Park and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.

Memorials are preferred to a charity of the donors choice.
