Ms. Gregory, 78, of Rochester, MN, formerly of Lake Oswego, OR, died Monday, April 3, 2017, at Saint Marys Hospital. Carol was born December 6, 1938, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, to John and Kate Loewen.

She graduated from Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma, WA, in 1956, and married Kennard W. Gregory, Jr., on November 28, 1959, in Tacoma. Together they raised two sons. The family lived primarily in Salem and Lake Oswego, OR. They divorced in 1981. Carol remained in Lake Oswego, active in her church and working as a bookkeeper at Wizer's Oswego Foods. In 2015, she moved to Rochester, MN, to be near her grandchildren.

Survivors include Carol's two sons, Craig (wife Fang) Gregory of San Antonio, TX, and John (wife Sharon) Gregory of Salem, OR, and two grandchildren, Dr. Jeremy (husband Dana) Cutsforth-Gregory of Rochester, MN, and Ashley Gregory of Winona, MN.

Carol loved sewing, knitting, lighthouses, and Democratic politics. She also loved food, especially bacon, fried chicken skin, and chocolate.
