Carol M. Coe (Ryan), 85, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, at The Waters on Mayowood in Rochester.
Carol was born on September 12, 1931, in St. Charles. She attended St. Charles High School and graduated with honors in 1949. She married Ronald F Krueger in 1952 and was later divorced. On May 16, 1967, she married George A. Coe who preceded her in death in 1994.
Carol was the mother of five children and an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She volunteered her time working on the Altar Guild and knitting prayer shawls. She also volunteered at Channel One Food. Carol was active in golf, bowling, gardening, and has created many beautiful quilts. Carol dearly loved the yearly fall fishing trip in Baudette with her children and was an accomplished fisher-woman. Many times, out-fishing her children. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Friend.
Survivors include five children, Cindy Ryan (Royal), Stan (LeAnn) Krueger, Kyle (Pam) Krueger, Susan Krueger (Murray), and Jennifer (Joel) Lutz; six grandchildren, Ryan Gilbertson, Aaron (Ashley) Krueger, Brandon (Jamie) Lubahn, Brice Gilbertson, Nicole (Mohammad) El-Sawaf, and Brittany (Tom) Heafner; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorraine Kroening and Rita (David) Hengel.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Ryan, Lyle Ryan, Glenn Ryan, and one sister, Lois Hayes.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 25th at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Dr. Steven Mues officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, April 24th at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
