Betty Lorraine Knutson, age 91, of Marion, MN died Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Wildwood Grove Assisted Living in Le Roy, MN.

Betty was born August 7, 1927 in Minot, ND the daughter of Andrew and Blanche Oliver. She was united in marriage to Kenneth N. "Pappy" Knutson February 25, 1946, in Rochester, MN. The couple farmed in the Fountain area, and later in Wisconsin for six years. Betty and her family moved to Rochester in 1956, where she was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Betty loved fishing with her husband up north. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and working in her flower garden. Betty enjoyed spending time with her children and many grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons,  and one grandson, two great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, and one son-in-law.

She is survived by her seven daughters: Sharon Olson of Le Roy, MN, Donna (Robert) Tilford of Mazeppa, MN, Carol (Robert) Christopherson of Hayfield, MN, Joyce Johnson of Kasson, MN, Marilyn Knutson of Le Roy, MN, Cynthia (Donald) Langton of Pleasant Grove, MN, and Wanda Knutson of Lime Springs, IA; one son, Robert (Kelly) of Marion, MN; 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dolores Papenfus of Mondovi, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Cornerstone Free Evangelical Church in Rochester, MN with Rev. Bruce Fischer officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Pleasant Grove, MN.
