Betty Jane Harris, 90, of Rochester died Monday, November 11, 2019, at Edenbrook of Rochester. Betty was born February 1, 1929 in Rochester to Fred and Mary (Murphy) Larson.

She graduated from Rochester High School in 1947. She married Donald "Red" C Harris in 1948, in Rochester. Donald died December 16, 2012.

Betty worked for the Rochester State Hospital; she was a sales clerk for Buttries Clothing Store, and later worked at Mayo Clinic for over 20 years. Betty played the mandolin and loved traveling, camping, reading, and music.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Eyre of Rochester; two sons, Robert (Marni) of Rochester and Ronald (Julia) of Stewartville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Larson of Rochester; and sister-in-law, Violet Brownlow. She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Cindy Harris; sisters, Margo Schuman and Gloria Denny; and sister-in-law, Arlene Vanderburg.

The funeral service for Betty will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Horntvedt officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
