Obituary

Bette R. Trusler 90, passed away peacefully April 19, 2013 at Golden Living East-Rochester. She had resided there for many years after suffering a stroke in 1999.

Bette was born October 9, 1922 to Lynn and Nina Pratt in Afton, New York. After high school, she worked for a time at an insurance company. She married Richard W. Trusler on November 4, 1943 in Binghamton, New York. he was serving in the U.S. Navy at the time. He went on to spend his career with IBM, and she became a stay-at-home mom who never missed PTSA meetings or a sporting event. Prior to her stroke, she enjoyed bowling, golf, and playing bridge with her friends.

She is survived by her son Brian (Karenne) of Palomino Valley, Nevada and daughter Lynne (Bart) Schutz of Rochester, MN., Grandchildren Tony, Ben (Julie), and Tyler (Laura) Knutson, Kelly (Charles) Mans, and Katie (Rich) Wilson. Great-Grandchildren Lauren, Jordan, and Evan Knutson, Nick, Jon, and Riley Mans, and Katelyn Wilson.

She is also survived by her Sister-In-Law Marie Pratt, Brother-In-Law Maurice Trusler, Special Friends Les and Linda Knutson, and Jo Seibert.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1996, her parents, Brother Curtis Pratt, and Brother-In-Law Jack Trusler.

She was loved very dearly by her children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living for all the years of kindness and affection shown to Bette.

Macken funeral home is in charge of her cremation, with a family funeral service and inurnment to be held at the First Presbyterian Church Rochester at a later date.
