A graveside service for Barbara A. Holland will be held at 3:15 pm Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester, officiated by the Rev. Lester Horntvedt. A one hour visitation is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm Thursday in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, followed by a procession to the cemetery.

Mrs. Holland, 84, of Rochester died Saturday, June 16 at Rochester Health Services – East.

She was born December 18, 1933 in Mazeppa to John and Maraah (Getman) Hofschulte. On July 18, 1964, she married John Holland in Rochester. Barbara worked as a cashier at a local grocery store before becoming  a homemaker. Barbara loved pets of all kinds and spending time with her husband as they drove along the river valley.

Barbara is survived by her sisters, Eloda (Don) Fenske of Rochester, and Eileen (John) Gazinski of Chicago; as well as a number of nieces and nephews including Jacqueline (Dave) Underwood and David Hoven of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents and one sister.
