Arthur W. (Ardie) Wendt – Eyota

Arthur William Wendt Jr., 87, of Eyota, Mn, died Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, Minnesota.

Ardie was born November 6, 1937, in Lake Elmo, Minnesota to Arthur and Emma (Serafin) Wendt. He graduated from Lake Elmo High School in 1956. On February 6, 1964, he married Agnes C. Hurt at St. John's Catholic Church in Rochester, MN. He lived out his dream of being a farmer in Eyota his entire life. He was passionate about conservation and land stewardship.

He is survived by his wife Agnes, his children, Paul (Kari) Wendt, Suzanne (Kevin) Pilger, Jonathan (Sarah) Wendt and his grandchildren Kaylee (Chris Enderson), Mason, Paige, Natalie, Andrew, Griffin, Lydia, and Adam. He was preceded in death by his infant son Gregory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday preceding the service. The burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
