Aron William "Bill" Hirman – Rochester

A memorial service for Aron William Hirman will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Charter House Chapel with the Rev. Msgr. Gerald Mahon of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church officiating.  Mr. Hirman , 97, of Rochester died July 21, 2015.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.  There will be no reviewal.

Bill was born November 1917 on a farm near Atwater, MN. He graduated from Atwater High School and Minneapolis Business College.  On June 28, 1941, he married Margueritte Verbraken in Ashland, WI.  Mrs. Hirman passed away on February 19, 2004.

He worked for Klad-Ezee Garment Company of Minneapolis and later became District Manager in the State of Illinois and part of Indiana.  During World War II, he served with the Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater doing code work.  In 1946 he joined Hirman Insurors as an officer and agent and retired after 40 years.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Rochester Senior Center, and a former member of the Elks, Rochester Chamber of Commerce, American Legion, Downtown Kiwanis and Independent Insurance Agents of Minnesota.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Kay (John) Sheehan of Gulf Breeze, FL and Martha (Charles) Smith of Pace, FL; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his wife Tip, one daughter, Sharon Bell and two brothers, Elmer and Arthur.

Memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
