The memorial Mass for Annette Beatrice Miller will be at 10:30AM on Saturday, December  6, 2014, at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. John Lasuba officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Annette Miller, 91, of Rochester, died on November 24, 2014, at Charter House.

She was born May 29, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois, to Roger and Johanna (Gorman) Wyse.  She married Frank Miller on October 2, 1948, in Chicago where they lived for a time and then moved to Northbrook, Illinois,  for the rest of their married life.  She met Frank at American National Bank in Chicago where they both worked.

Annette's high intelligence and strong character was evidenced by her long employment and rise in status at Bowes and Company, a leading insurance brokerage firm and the midwest agent for Lloyd's of London.  She began there as an office clerk and at her retirement, had risen to Treasurer of the Company.  Her skill at financial matters was matched by her skill as a seamstress.  Her sewing room at their home was equipped with sophisticated equipment and she used them to sew clothing and draperies for their home among other tasks.

She is survived by her brother, Joseph Wyse of Wilmette, IL; nieces and nephews, Marilyn Wyse-Lyerla, Jeanine Wyse Papageorge, John Miller, Margaret Miller, Roger Miller, Joseph Miller, Carol Purdy, Catherine Green, Joellen Anderson, Joanne Michet, Marguerite McDonald, Patricia McDonald, Joseph Wyse and Roger Wyse.
