Amy Erin Silverman, age 37, passed away of natural causes on Monday April 4, 2016 following a long battle with mental illness and chemical dependency.

Amy was born on January 29, 1979 in Evanston, IL to Mary Jane McHugh and Ronald Silverman. She graduated from Mayo High School in 1997 and earned a degree in Nursing from RCTC. Amy enjoyed spending time with her family, her dog Cooper, and above all, her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her mother Mary Jane McHugh, her brothers Alan (Kara) Silverman of Pennsylvania, David McHugh of Rochester, her sisters Jenna Silverman of Rochester, Caitlin (Michael) Blackmon of Minneapolis, Meghan (Christopher) Taylor of Minneapolis, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and special family friend Joe Koerner.

She is preceded in death by her father Ronald Silverman and her grandparents.

She was profoundly loved and will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service for Amy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held starting at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. A private family burial will follow.
