A Memorial Mass for Alfonso P. Fallarme will be at 11:00AM, Friday Dec 28 at Church of the Resurrection 1600 11th Ave SE. The body will be cremated with burial at a later date in the Philippines.
Alfonso Fallarme died peacefully Saturday (Dec 22) at St Marys Hospital in Rochester.
He was born Oct. 17, 1916 in Concepcion, Romblon Philippines to Numeriano and Pilar(Perez) Fallarme. He married his first wife Rosita Fetalver (Deceased) in Odiongan, Romblon Philippines. They had four children: Hedy (Fallarme )Quisumbing of California,with seven children; Robert Fallarme (deceased) married to Dominica Millete of New Jersey with two children, Carlo and Nicolo; Noel Fallarme married to Gwen Aligno of Rochester, MN; Daisy (Fallarme) Wallenmeyer married to Daniel of Ham Lake, MN with one daughter Ann Marie.
He is survived with his second wife Josie (Laure) Fallarme. They married Jan 22, 1982 in Manila, Philippines.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers and a sister.
He was an avid ballroom dancer. A war veteran, he was a captain and commander during World War II under the United States Armed Forces of the Far East (USAFFE). He studied law at the University of the Philippines and became a Lawyer. As a lawyer he specialized in tariff, customs and taxation and was instrumental in authoring the customs and tariff code of the Philippines. A United Nations Technical Administration scholar, he was a representative to various conferences studying tariff, customs and taxation regulations of countries around the world, He was given the privilege to hold office in Washington, DC and was able to travel many times to 44 countries of four continents.
Alfonso is now on his last journey to his Creator.
