Adeline G. Wegner, 88 of Rochester, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018.

Adeline Grace Barr was born May 28, 1930 in rural St. Charles, MN. The daughter of Howard and Grace (Small) Barr. In 1944 the family moved to Rochester. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1948.

On September 16, 1951 she married Lyall L. Wegner. Adeline worked in the office of Gopher Aviation and then the Rochester Bread Company office. After her children were born she became a devoted stay-at-home mom. Later working a few years in retail. Her husband retired from AT&T in 1986. He died March 22, 2013. They were married 62 years at the time of his death.

Adeline loved her grandchildren dearly and loved visiting with them. She also enjoyed genealogy, reading, crossword puzzles, bicycling, and watching the MN Twins.

Survivors include her two sons, Thomas B. (Nancy) of Rochester, and Jon L. (Doris) of West Fargo, ND; one daughter, Sue E. Madden of Rochester; seven grandson and one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 8 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Family entombment at Grandview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
